Fenerbahce are enjoying a seven-game unbeaten run but head into this match off the back of a disappointing 0-0 draw with Alanyaspor last time out. The Yellow Canaries can close the gap on leaders Besiktas to five points with a win here, leaving them with a faint glimmer of hope of sealing their first Super Lig title for seven years in their last three games of the campaign.

They face an Erzurum side who saw their three-game winning streak abruptly ended with a 2-1 defeat to reigning Super Lig champions Istanbul BB last time out. Still, Yilmaz Vural’s side remain just a point away from safety, while a shock win here would elevate them to 16th, leapfrogging Kayserispor and Ankaragucu in the process.

Fenerbahce (vs Alanyaspor): Tekin; Gonul*, Aziz, Szalai, Erkin; Sosa; Ozil, Tufan, Yandas, Pelkas; Valencia.

Erzurum BB (vs İstanbul Başakşehir): Szumski;Ucar, Kardes, Hatipoglu, Schwechlen; Boumal, Obertan, Omolo; Bassan*, Gomes, Alkilic.

Fenerbahce head into this match with a lengthy list of absentees. Gokhan Gonul is suspended following his yellow card against Alanyaspor, while Diego Perotti, Sadik Ciftpinar, Altay Bayindir and Nazim Sangare are all injured.

Emrah Bassan is suspended for the visitors, who have an otherwise fully fit and available squad to chose from.

After netting a brace in Fenerbahce’s 3-2 win over Kasimpasa, Enner Valencia will have been disappointed to fire a blank in the 0-0 draw with Alanyaspor last time out. The Ecuador international cut an isolated figure, touching the ball just 32 times and only managing one shot on goal.

Even so, Valencia remains Fenerbahce’s top scorer this season with nine goals, four of which have come in his last five games meaning confidence will be high heading into a match with the Super Lig’s third-worst defence.

Can Erzurum, who have conceded 62 goals so far this season, cope with Valencia’s movement and physical approach?
